How To Find Network Marketing Prospects?
I must admit that I have gone through a couple of failures before I found a stable ground.
The thing is …. I wouldn’t do it again because each failure taught me something.
I realised, “Oh, this is not the right way.” or “That’s where I messed up.” or “That’s why it didn’t pan out.” or “This is what I have to do.”
Each and every step of the way was a learning experience.
An invaluable experience.
But I learned something new. Each step of the way.
And I had to change.
Tweaked a lot of the the processes.
So, would I repeat it again?
NO. Because it’s where I am now.
But if I was to build a home business from scratch, I would weigh up 2 options. The two options that basically every type of business have to consider in growing a business – prospecting and marketing.
These are essentially the 2 ways of generating leads.

This requires you approaching people, either online or in person.
You have to be active.
Personally I used to pound the pavements and cold prospect local businesses about postcard marketing and stuff. Although it worked to some degree, it was very time consuming.
For most business builders, it’s either …
- Talking or messaging to friend and family.
- Approaching strangers at malls, in a social setting, vendor booths and so on.
- Friending strangers on Social Media
- Cold calling
- Use every resource to see who was available.
And those who are open to the idea are invited to watch a company video. You ‘Follow Up’ and see if they liked it or didn’t like it.
If they didn’t, you ask for referrals.
This awkward cold prospecting thing was really stressful on me.
It didn’t work for me at all.
Now, I’m not saying the ‘belly to belly’ thing won’t work for you. Not at all.
But for me … I wasn’t cut out for it.
I found the whole experience of approaching people very time consuming and tiresome.
Getting rejected over, and over, and over again … before someone said YES was too depressing.
Let’s face it …
Not everyone will be your ideal prospect.
It’s like pitching beef to a vegetarian.
To be successful at building a business offline and online, you need targeted leads.
That means, finding the right people that actually needs your product or service.
To do that, you need to understand their pain points and desires.
List them out and get specific.
Do this, and you’ll have a much easier time creating content and marketing that will benefit them, your prospects … and in turn, grab their attention.
Once you dial in on your ideal customer, start posting good, useful content on your Facebook page and, if you have one, post to your blog (recommended).
As well, join niche groups and other places – from Facebook, Instagram, Forums and so on.
Where ever your audience hangs out.
But don’t go prospecting upfront.
Instead add value to the group. Contribute, answer questions and connect.
Be the shining light, and attract the people you want to your business … which is how attraction marketing works. And it is less stressful.
You want to generate PASSIVE leads through marketing.
Leads that are best prospects, your ‘ laser targeted leads’.
So choose a niche and become good in it.
Anything that gets you excited from : network marketing, fitness, weight loss, power lifting, hair care, skin care, travel, or any niche.
Just pick a topic to focus on. A topic that your reader wants to read.
So … how do you get those prospects?
Short term (for free organic traffic), it is Facebook ‘Live’ or even Story.
Even pre-recorded videos will help.
These platforms are handy in getting your message out, and when your message does resonate with a prospect … you will have their attention.
But, if you want long term impact … blogging or even podcasting.
For blogging, it has been a mainstay ever since it started.
And Google loves blogs, as it is a platform for fresh content. Which they love.
And as long as you consistently add value to the blog … and provide a good user experience, you can generate more free organic traffic.
But if you have a limited amount of time and want to generate organic leads, Facebook Live is an excellent strategy.
So start your Lives and videos, and post regularly on your Facebook page to build a backlog of valuable content.
Content that will benefit your audience.
And when the time is right, you start driving the traffic from Facebook to your blog!
Your blog will then do all the heavy lifting and filters out the people who don’t qualify.
Without question, blogging (and growing an email list) is your best bet for generating consistent leads … long term.

Which all marketers should consider.
